Birds, Planes and a Bair #2 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: I am sorry to inform you but this cache is being archived and I am asking you to pick up the cache container ASAP.

I have recieved the following in an email.

By direction of the authorities all caches near this airport must be removed. There is
one called Varney air and a second located at the south end of the airport. There
have been people observed inside the fence on the secure area of the airport. If
you have any questions you can contact a man named Don at 650-573-3700.

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

This is an easy cache to find and the area provides a good view of aircraft taking off and landing at San Carlos Airport.

This cache replaces the ammo box cache that mrZ previously had in this area. I contacted mrZ when I was unable to find his cache and he advised that landscape types come out about twice a year. Thus, those muggles took off with his cache. This is a neat area for a cache and I asked if he was planning to replace his. He said no and kindly advised me he would not mind if I placed a new cache in the same general area. Due to the Muggles my cache is a 35mm plastic film container located on the short trail along the slough and airport. You can park at N 37.30.389 W 122.14.817 and it is about a 400 foot or so walk to the cache. (Thanks mrZ for the parking coordinates!)
