IMC No. 2 S-PT - Singing Windmills Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

MAntunes: Container removed and that is the end for this one too.

Thanks to all who accepted the challenge of this IMC project by following its rules.

Hope that most of you had fun contacting other geocachers around the World and exchanging information to help each other. It's a pitty that it isn't working anymore but the time changes, so the behaving of the community changes too.

I've informed about this archival with some weeks in advance, by placing a Note, and no one contacted me, so it seems nobody will be affected by it.

Geocache Description:

Introduction:

This "secondary cache" can only be found with international team working because:

This is an international multicache and it has logging requirements. Nobody forces you to log this cache, but if You want to do so, read the listing carefully and proceed as required. If you receive the coordinates from someone else but me, it is the wrong way.
All logs not complying with this cache's rules, will not be accepted.

This cache is just one cache of a set of 24 caches named IMC No. 2 … (IMC = International Multi-Cache). These caches are hidden in 12 Countries worldwide:
AU = Australia CA = Canada, DK = Denmark, FR = France, DE = Deutschland,  JP = Japan, LU = Luxemburg, MX = Mexico, NL = Netherlands,  PT = Portugal, ZA = South Africa, ES = Spain, .
In each country there is a "primary cache" and a "secondary cache".
The 16 primary caches are named "IMC No. 2 P-x - yyy" and the 16 secondary caches "IMC No. 2 S-x - zzz" where x is the country code given above and yyy and zzz can be any additional name.
The primary caches are almost like traditional caches. The only difference is, that they contain beside the "normal" content (stash-note, logbook, pencil, give-aways) a "lists of hints" for the secondary caches.
To be able to search and find a secondary cache you need all hints from all 12 primary caches!
As the primary caches are scattered all over the world it will either require a lot of traveling or - and that is the intention of the IMC No. 2 - international cooperation:

If you want to find this secondary cache, you should:
1. Find a primary IMC No. 2 cache.
2. Contact finders of other primary IMC No. 2 caches and exchange the hints.
3. Puzzle the hints together and …
4. … go and seek the secondary cache.

The IMC No. 2 team wish you good luck!

The Cache:

This IMC's version is dedicated to Air/Wind. Hope it's windy when you search for this cache: You'll have your experience greatly enhanced. ;-)

Singing WindMills

Portuguese windmills in the southwest coast of the country have a particularity which is unique in the worlds' windmills: They are equipped with earthenware vessels at the surrounding tow of their wind-wheel. When the wheel is standing still, the visitor doesn't get any idea of the purpose of those dozens of vessels in different sizes, obviously being  nothing but ballast decreasing the performance of the mill.

When a windmill begins to move, only the wind's noise and the creaking of the wooden mechanics normally can be heard.  Not so the very special Portuguese windmills.
The visitor is impressed by a loud chord of flutelike sounds, which varies according to different wind-speeds and weather conditions. „
