Geocache Description:

A straightforward walk with good views on the way.

The route to this cache is a pleasant walk through fields close to the village of Wickham, near Fareham. There is room to park a few cars at N50 53.421 W001 10.004.

From here the footpath zig zags around the edge of the fields but is clearly signposted all the way. In late summer, you might like to take a container to fill up with blackberries and damsons as you go along.

On the way you should be able to see across the back of Portsdown Hill, including Nelson’s Monument and the defence research establishment with its mocked up ship’s superstructure. The Millennium Tower at Gunwharf Quays is also clearly visible (unless you’ve picked a foggy day) as is the Isle of Wight.

If you intend to swap items, please remember: trade up, trade equal or trade nothing (trackables, of course, don't count as swaps).

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
