Many possible trails and starting points. The terrain is mostly flat, but some uphill parts. It is ATV and foot accessible, and a good mountain biker could peddle most of it. About 1.6 mile walk by trail.
Many trails in the area so be careful on the way in and out. You can start at the end of Guyer St. in Holman or by ATV there is a parking spot just NE of Taconite, when going NE on US 169, on the left side of the road (N47 18.860 W93 22.027). Cross the road with your ATV, take a right on the trail near the highway and then take the next left up the small hill and you are on your way N47 18.409 W93 22.512).. The cache contains a variety of trinkets, always something for the kids. On the way in you may pass through an interesting area that looks like you are on Mars, the red planet. It is just a tailings basin, that has silica and lean ore that gives it the color. N47° 18.083' W093° 21.912' is the location of this area.
