Geocache Description:

Close to Bessemer converter. Care for falling stones!

Stora Kopparberg, owners of Falun Copper Mine, needed iron for their operations. With ore from Vintjärn mine they opened two ironworks. One in Svartnäs and one in Ågs Bruk. Both were in operation during most of 1700/1800's and have ruins of interest.

Stora Kopparberg som ägde Falukoppargruva behövde järn för sin gruvutrustning. De öppnade Vintjärn gruva, Ågs Bruk och Svartnäs hytta. Både var i drift under stora delar av 1700- 1800-talet och har intressanta ruiner.
