Park at the TRAM parking lot [fee$$] Hike the service road located in the SE corner of parking area,
TOWER #1 is about a 30 to 40 minute hike. Game trails will take you from the tower to the cache; another 20 minutes
The cache is at about 7,250 feet, elevation gain 700 feet.0.46 miles from parking lot..
My GPS was within 15 ft. Located on the uphill side of a 6X6X10' Boulder: COVERED with a very obvious pile of Sticks & Stones. PLEASE COVER IT LIKE YOU FOUND IT.
The TRAM is located off of TRAMWAY BLVD.You can access Tramway blvd. from interstate's 40 or 25.
Tower #1 leans at 18 degrees is 232 ft. high at an evelation of 7,010 feet.The evelation at the top terminal is 10,378 ft.
Because of the NEW location as of March 6th 2006, you may Find It & Log it AGAIN.
The Cache is a medium size container Painted Camo with a Shiney Offical Caching Sticker Attached: With 8 hold downs that keep it water tight. PLEASE COVER IT LIKE YOU FOUND IT.
CONTENTS: NEW LOG BOOK & 2 pens, Geocaching Magnet, Caching Tattoo's, Several New Mexico Caching Buttons.
And A Bunch More Trade Items.
Be careful on your return down the road very loose fine sand/stones as is the norm for most trails on the west side of the mountain.
A hiking stick comes in handy
