One of the many trail heads for the Appalachian Trail.
Welcome to the RYDRPACE cache. Hidden on Aug 3, 2004 while giving two Appalachian Trail Hikers a ride back to the trail head. Their names were, you guessed it Ryder and Pacemaker (hope I spelled Ryder’s name correctly). I learned that some locals drop off water at trail heads to keep the hikers hydrated. Now that’s caring and sharing, New York style!!They started in Georgia and will be in Maine around September if I recall correctly. I picked the cache location mostly due to the lack of canopy. Nice sunlight overhead so it should be easy to locate. It’s not too well sheltered, feel free to add camouflage if you like.I was a bit concerned they weren’t too aware of how ticks and Lyme disease worked so if anyone feels like dropping off a can of permethrin tick spray that would be a nice thing to do.Happy TrailsKernbob
