Easy walk through the wood.
The cache is sited in the wood beyond Surprise View, above Derwentwater. You do not need to search around Surprise View but please heed the warning signs nearby when in the area. THE CACHE LOCATION IS COMPLETELY SAFE AND ALL CLIFFS ARE FENCED OFF. Derwentwater is one of 16 'lakes' set within the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. It is one of the most northerly of the English Lakes and is 3 miles long, 1 mile wide and 72 feet deep. 'Derwentwater' which means 'lake of the river with many oak trees' is one of the widest in the Lake District and is known as the 'Queen of the Lakes', once you experience its beautiful and majestic setting you can understand why it is named as such.The cache is a medium sized box containing: Finger paint, tape, dice, light up pen, Star Wars pen. bouncy ball clowns, neon eraser, ‘sweet’ tissues, mood head, pet pebble, Smiley fridge magnet and TB Spirit of St Louis.
