Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to our son Robert, who has become one of America's newest 2nd Lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force. NOTE: He is now a 1st LT. Update: Robert went from Blue to Green, he is now a Captain in the US Army!

The place is too beautiful for words. You have to see it in person. Take 91 North from Elizabethton, TN. for about 10 miles. You can "handle" it. Follow your GPS to park at coordinates: N 36.26.008 W 082.04.316.

The cache is only .15 mile from where you will park. Take the trail to the right (under, over or around the gate) and go straight ahead. Shortly, you will cross a small stream but most of the time, you can do it without getting your feet wet. It is uphill from here. The cache is a camo ammo can filled with all kinds of outdoor and kids goodies. At the cache hiding place, please put everything back as you found it.

Finding the cache is one thing, what lies behind you is the real treat. After you find the cache and are on your way back, look for the fork in the trail about 260 feet from the parking area. Take the right fork and go down about 150 feet (there are some steps). You will be rewarded with seeing one of the most beautiful spots in all of East Tennessee. If you have never taken photos at a cache, this is the one to start.

If you haven't discovered the name of the area, email me and I will tell you. If you do know the name, please don't use in your log because we don't want "let the cat out of the bag".

HELP KEEP MOTHER EARTH CLEAN. IF YOU SEE TRASH, PLEASE TAKE IT OUT (CITO).
