The Heron Cam name is from the birds that often raid this man-made pond of it's decorative fish.
A bit of local history: One of the streets at this intersection is named for a 29 year old Washington State Trooper who lost his life attempting to rescue a boy in the surf September 4th, 1957. His bravery and sacrifice stand in tribute to the first responders we are so lucky to have serving us past and present.
