Geocache Description:

A short walking trail that skirts the water supply for the Town of Rothesay.

The pond is located in Rothesay. There are many ways to get to it, this is one of them:

Make you way to the Mackay Highway and take the exit to the airport arterial (Hwy 111). Once you’re on the arterial, turn into the Bicentennial Ballfield and park there. Trailhead is at [N 45° 22.806’ W 065° 58.464’]. The Rothesay Trails 1997 is a 1.6 km loop, popular with dog walkers. There are side trails that will take you to the “falls” and pond edge. Flora and fauna abound, with rabbits, geese, deer, sundews, bunchberry and Canada mayflower to name a few. The cache is located off the beaten trail, halfway around the loop. Cache is a spaghetti container. GPSr WAAS accuracy was 5m when the cache was stashed.
