Talk about a view! You almost see it all from here! From this
scenic lookout, you get a bird's eye view of many of Yosemite's
major attractions. Be sure to bring binoculars so you can see the
"ants" scaling mountains; a camera is a must here too. We placed
this virtual cache because there are no other caches in this part
of the park, and it truly deserves your attention.
To get to this location, follow the roads to Glacier Point. And
be sure to continue on to Glacier Point when you've had your fill
here. As a matter of fact, ChrissySkyking's favorite spot in all of
Yosemite Park is located at the Benchmark
at the tip of Glacier Point, just 0.7 miles down the road (N 37°
43.842 W 119° 34.416).
To log this virtual cache, you need to e-mail us the answers to
the following questions on the plaque at the coordinates: 1) What
is the name of the person pictured?
2) How many photos are on this plaque?
Go ahead and log this cache and e-mail us the answers at the
same time. There is no need to wait for a response from us. We will
only be getting back to you via email if you fail to answer the
questions. Please don't post the answers to these questions in your
log, even if you encrypt it!
Please note, this cache will be inaccessible at certain times of
the year due to snow.
Health note: This cache is Really high up! Glacier Point is at
an elevation of 7,100 feet. The air is thinner here. Take your time
and bring water and sunscreen with you, if you want to spend some
time here. On a clear day, this is one of our favorite places in
this wonderful park!
