The posted coordinates are correct, but you will find no geocache container and no goodies to trade in this unusual variety of a cache.
North Thunder Mountain is the less visited and more inaccessible of the two 11,000+ ft peaks flanking the spectacular Thunder Bowl. It is most commonly climbed from the bottom of the Bowl along its South Ridge, or directly from Coalpit Gulch to the North.
You can get to Thunder Bowl (which is abutting the headwall of the North Fork of Bells Canyon) from Bells Canyon trail (either directly up North Fork from the meadow at the confluence of the forks, or from Upper Bells reservoir through the saddle behind Bells Cleaver). You can also drop into Thunder Bowl from the low point at its headwall, which is accessible both from the SW (Lake Hardy area) and from the SE (Hogum cirque).
Today, we reached the summit from Coalpits, which will probably rank it 5-star by the geocaching book. To get into Colapit Gulch, park as suggested for roadstr's Cone Heads Cache, and hike East until a stepping-stone trail splits off to the South, towards a boulderfield and climbing routes just East of Coalpit Creek. The crux of the route is the middle waterfall, which is passed on the East side by upclimbing a 10-ft chimney blocked by a huge chokestone. It took 5 hours to gain 6,000 ft elevation and to reach the peak
