The cache is not so difficult to find, but the terrain is a bit
hard.
Hope you like this great waterfall named “Frecha da Mizarela” here
the Caima river jump over 60metres before landing on amazing
natural pools of fresh and shining water.
Take your swimming trunks or you will regret it for a long
time…
You can find this natural wonder near Arouca at “Serra da Freita”
mountain, among with great places to rest a while enjoying the
beautiful sights.
One easy way to find the road is heading to Arouca, and look for
the following place:
N40º53.317 W008º20.550
Here you will find the sign “Frecha da Mizarela” just follow it,
and your GPS too.
To get to the cache you must leave the car here:
N40º51.745 W008º17.180,
take some time to enjoy the “show”… then follow the trail at your
left,
go down the hill until you reach the river and the bottom of the
fall, it’s not so difficult going down (if you take the necessary
care, some spots are slippery), but prepare yourself to test your
health status on the way back up…
The place could be crowded, depending on the day you will seek for
the cache, so please take special care being discrete during the
hunt, when you find the box, just take it to some other near place
and enjoy, sign the log book, then close it carefully with the
plastic bag and, without being noted, place it on the same spot
well hidden.
