Geocache Description:

A treasure hunt and a little local history for visitors to the area. Historical references are used for clues. Enjoy the places and people.

Plastic container stored indoors. Hours are 9-5 Mon-Sat and 1-5 on Sunday during summer months. Contains local information, "googles," and pens.

The great depression provided the county with this meeting place. Built in 1937, it carries on the tradition of hosting area meetings, receptions and more. N 35 41.185 and W 082 00.555
A few yards south find a place of reverence. Stop to enjoy its architectural design, built in 1914. N 35 41.108 and W 082 00.601

An eagle survived a fire in 1894. 110 yrs later, it soared to new heights with southern hospitality and entertainment. N 35 41.062 and W 082 00.555

A spot marked for future generations close to the county seat.
