Schloss
Geyersberg

Castle
Geyersberg
The History:
Castle Geyersberg, which belongs to Sesslach, lies between
Bamberg and Coburg. It's the oldest building in Sesslach and was
built up in the 13th century. The family of Lichtenstein has lived
here a long time. Now there's a fine restaurant and a galery, where
pictures of sesslach's dead knights and there families are shown.
Every year the "Johannifeuer" takes place at the castle, which is
opened by a torch-light procession from the city to the
castle.
Near the castle a cache waits to be found by you. Because the
area around the castle is private ground, the cache lies near the
castle at a forest. But feel free to visit the castle with his
restaurant and the galery. You won't regret it.
