Mac-15 Traditional Cache
macatac1961: Picked this one up today and will see about rehiding another here once I'm able to understand the new rules on hiding caches in NY State Parks. Thanks to all who searched for it.

LOCATED IN HECKSCHER STATE PARK ALONG THE L.I. GREENBELT TRAIL
This cache is hidden at the very end/beginning of the L.I. Greenbelt Trail. Okay maybe a half mile or so from the end but that's where you need to park. Trailhead is at parking field 7. This is a nice hike along the southern tip of this awesome trail. While stashing the cache I saw a nesting Osprey with at least one chick, rabbits, deer and all sorts of other wildlife... ticks included unfortunately, so be ready. Nice views of The Great South Bay. Cache is a Rubbermaid container with a Logbook, pen, pencil and some trade items. Minimal bushwacking, cache is only 40 - 50 feet from the trail. Nice flat south shore terrain.
