Howe Wood is a bluebell wood, the bluebells come out around
the second week in April and last till the end of May. This is one
of the more spectacular woods that I've found.
The wood itself is private property but the extent of the
bluebell coverage is easy to see from the road.
There is plenty of space to park at 52°2.284N 0°10.860E,
unfortunately this area is a favourite with fly tippers and it's
not uncommon for there to be a lot of rubbish strewn around.
If the bluebells aren't out then the view to the north is pretty
good on a clear day. You can actually see Ely Cathedral from here
(25 miles north)
