This site represents a significant chapter in Canada’s Cold War defense posture and now through the efforts of the Pacific Rim National Park staff, offers a spectacular view of the entire coastline and Tofino area. We noticed a shortage of geocaches in this area and thought this one would introduce visitors to an interesting historic location as well as a stunning view.

To claim this find, message us using the link next to our team name at the top of the page with the DATE and LOCATION of the ceremony mentioned on the plaque at these coordinates. Then log your find. We visited this site and established this cache on a special anniversary of ours; hopefully you will enjoy your visit to this beautiful area as much as we did.
The cache location is wheelchair accessible if you can navigate a moderate incline.
A policy change has introduced park user fees for daily access to all parts of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Even though it will take less than 5 min from the upper parking lot to reach the plaque you are expected to purchase a park pass at one of the automated ticket kiosks through out the park. Park Fees
Fees collected are used to support visitor services and facilities.
