Washed up RockingStone Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future. If you do not plan on replacing/repairing your cache, please CITO any remains returning the site to the original state before you placed your cache.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

An interesting rocking stone, in Spryfield, at a nice beach and park area.

The "rocking stone" is a large (room sized) granite boulder, that is located on flat ground in such a way that it can be rocked up and down quite easily using a smaller stone and log lever. The story I heard was that early settlers found it by accident, when they tried to take shelter in the overhang of it during a storm. They were shocked to realize this giant boulder was moving... In winter there are nice cross country ski trails there, and in summer there is a nice beach area. The cache is a small white Aliant container (approximately 6" x 1") with a mini log and few small items inside. The cache is actually offset slightly from the posted co-ordinates (which are the co-ordinates of the rocking stone). ==> Walk slightly further down the trail and locate another "miniature" rocking stone with some graffitti on the it. (No we didn't put the graffitti there...) The graffitti is your clue - look for something related about 10 meters from the grafitti stone. The cache is inside it. (see photo of graffitti)
