Cache is located at a spot overlooking the James River within Chippokes SP.
There are two ways to get to this cache. One is to take the James River Trail within the park. It is approximately a 1-2 mile hike to the cache, depending on where you park (visitor center vs. the plantation parking lot).
For the more adventurous folk, I recommend parking at the visitor center and walking along the beach. This may require climbing over and around some downed trees, but may actually be faster, as it is a more direct route.
Near your destination, take a seat to enjoy the beautiful river scenery.
We have changed the container, to something water-proof. I have installed a new logbook. Also I included, to start the cache off, small toy fish, a smiley eraser, and a florida orange juice magnet. Area may be buggy during warmer months.
