Why not come on down to San Felipe and log your webcam find?
This Webcam cache is meant to be fun. The coordinates will put you
at the webcam itself. This is live camera that updates every 15
minutes. The goal is to log the cache by capturing an image of
yourself with your GPSr in view of the webcam abd then upload the
image with your log description.
In the old country, capturing your image with your GPSr on a
webcam site is a fairly easy task. All it takes is you, with a
GPSr, at the webcam site, a cell phone and a partner connected to
the internet site of the webcam. Here in the Baja this is a little
more difficult. Here is our twist on logging this cache.
What you will need to do during
working hours:
Go to the listed coordinates during normal working hours Mon -
Sat. There is a computer there and the owner would be more than
happy to capture your picture WITH YOUR GPSr. You can either upload
your picture at that time or you will receive instructions on how
to do this later. There is a wired network and a Wi-Fi connection
at this site so if you have a laptop, bring it with you.
What you will need (after
hours):
A GPSr, a friend at a computer with an internet connection, to
this webpage: http://www.blueroadrunner.com/geocachers.htm
and a set time when you will be at the cache site. Go to the
coordinates of this cache. Your friend will have to wait for a
picture update with you in the picture! (this webcam updates every
15minutes). Your friend will have to capture a picture of you with
your GPS'r
In Summary:
As you can see, this is much easier to do during working hours.
Found it! logs without proper pictures will be deleted. Please wait
until you have your picture ready for upload before making a log
entry.

when this camera is down for maintenance and/or repair. If the
webcam is not working, for any reason, a photo taken of you with
your GPSr, at the cache site, is acceptable. Ensure, that you are
seen in the picture and it is obvious that you are at the cache
site. Please, no blank pictures telling me is was night and your
flash didn't work. We may be retired and slow here in San Felipe
but we and not stupid. You are under absolutely no obligation to
have fun on the beach or in town but it is highly encouraged.
