Geocache Description:

A short steep walk for fine views of the Firth of Forth

This and three other caches (Berwick Law, Aberlady Bay and the Bonus Cache) form the East Lothian Quartet. As well as logging your find at each cache, take a note of the part coordinates for the Bonus Cache from the laminated card. Please Do NOT remove the card from the cache.

Hopetoun Monument, like Berwick Law can be seen from miles away.. The monument was built in gratitude for John, 4th Earl of Hopetoun, by his tenants in 1824. He must have been an extremely good landlord! The cache is not far from the monument at the top of the hill.

Please ensure that you are familiar with and follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code (SOAC) and behave responsibly when walking and searching for a cache.
