De cache
Voor het berekenen van de koördinaten van de stash (een metalen ammobox) moet je in totaal 15 hunebedden en een grafheuvel opzoeken. Soms bevindt het hunebed zich vlak bij de weg, voor andere moet je een stukje lopen. De koördinaten van de hunebedden staan hieronder vermeld, ieder hunebed heeft een letter. Van elk hunebed is een foto gemaakt en op elke foto staat een getal. Zoek de hunebedden bij de foto’s en noteer deze getallen bij de juiste letters in het tabelletje. Let op: Er zijn 4 (fake)foto's die niet bij de koördinaten horen! Tip: Het is verstandig in het noorden te beginnen, de eindcoördinaten liggen wat zuidelijker.
Het aantal decimale minuten van de N-koördinaat is de som van A t/m H (nn,nnn) en van de E-koördinaat de som van I t/m P (ee,eee).
De cache is in januari 2006 en in mei 2008 geript en daarom verplaatst. Op N 52°nn,nnn E 006°ee,eee staat een scheve boom. Om de nieuwe cache te vinden tel je bij de Noord- en de Oost-waarde 0,007 op.
In natte periodes wordt het gebruik van laarzen aanbevolen. Bij het eindpunt de auto aan de verharde weg laten staan! De stash ligt in een klein oud natuurgebiedje. Het korte weggetje er naar toe kan erg modderig zijn en soms vallen er bomen om!
In the Netherlands you can find many dolmens (hunebedden). Their age is about 5000 years, older than the pyramids of Egypt! Most dolmens are situated in the eastern part of Drenthe. To calculate the coordinates of this multicache you will have to visit 15 dolmens and a tumulus. The coordinates are listed below, each dolmen is indicated bij a character. Tip: Start your visits in the north. The dolmens are photographed and each photograph contains a number. Write this number next to the right dolmen. Attention: There are 4 (fake)pictures which are not used in the table.
The number of minutes (in decimals) of the N-coordinate is the summation of A-H (nn,nnn) and the number of degrees of the E-coordinate is the summation of I-P (ee,eee).
At N 52°nn,nnn E 006°ee,eee you will find a tree leaning over (the original spot but the cache has been stolen twice). The new location can be found when you add 0.007 to both the North and East coordinate.
In the wet season you will probably need boots to reach the endpoint. At the eindpoint please leave your car at the paved road. The stash is hidden in a small and old sanctuary where trees sometimes fall over! You probably will need a 4x4 on the unpaved road, please go by foot!
