Finally, a webcam cache that only requires ONE PERSON!
Here is your chance to log one of the more rare cache types out there. In
fact, as of this writing, this will be only one of three webcam caches in
Washington State!
This webcam cache is also unusual in that you don't need two people
to log this cache. The webcam site is spefically designed to act as a
webcam cache. It will save pictures of your visit for up to 24 hours.
No need to call your friends for help, just remember the time, and
you're all set!
Here is what you need:
- Your trusty GPS unit.
- The ability to stay in one place for at least 30 seconds.
- An accurate clock. (Most GPS units have a time display)
Here's how you log this cache:
- Study the above picture carefully, and remember the features.
- Find the location with your GPSr, and smile for the camera.
- Make a note of the time from your GPSr.
- Visit http://www.annular.net/cache/ and enter the time of
your visit.
- Find yourself in the list of images and click on the best one you're
in.
- Right click on the image to save it to your hard drive.
- Upload the image when you log the cache!
Please don't log the cache unless you have a valid photo to
upload. Logs lacking a photo will be deleted.
Notes:
- This cache is near a busy road and parking lot, please mind the
cars when you pose for the camera.
- The server will only store images for 24 hours, so try to log your
find within this time.
- You can visit this cache at night.
The webcam web site and image database are still under construction and in
continual development. Please feel free to email me your comments and
suggestions, or if something is broken. ;)
