This is a two stop multi / puzzle cache. The cache is slightly larger than a micro, hidden in a way that is very typical to so many micros we've found. Please bring your own writing instrument.
Difficulty is set at 3 because
- The Cache name is an anagram for the theme of the cache. If you choose the appropriate anagram, you'll understand the theme, and you'll be better prepared to visit the posted coordinates where you'll be able to find the clue that will reveal the cache coordinates.
- If you go to the posted coordinates without selecting the right anagram, but don't plan ahead based on the theme, or bring along the right tools, skills or frame of mind, you will probably need to visit again (assuming you find the clue.)
- The ultimate cache coordinates are within a short bicycle or car ride of the posted coordinates. You could walk to the cache, but it may be a longer walk than you desire if you're in a hurry (roughly 3000 feet).
- The GPS reception has been really flaky every time we visited the clue coordinates and the cache coordinates, probably due to tree cover and power lines nearby. Both of the coordinates were averaged repeatedly, so we believe they are within 20 feet accuracy which should be good enough.
Once you determine the cache coordinates, it's an easy cache & dash at the cache site.
Terrain is set at level 1 because the posted coordinates, the cache coordinates, and all points in between are flat and level.
Once you do get to the cache site you'll discover that it is loaded with a standard Geocache note, a logsheet, and some tools that will help you with this type of cache in the future. Feel free to take one of these tools, but if the cache is getting low, please let us know so that we can restock the cache. You might find yourself saying: "Gee, it would have been nice to have one of these tools before starting this cache..." but, hey, that would just be too easy and obvious.
