The Kiwi and The Fox Traditional Geocache
Lactodorum: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll consider unarchiving it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

A pleasant walk through woods in the pretty town of Usk.
For the nicest walk, park in the carpark of Usk Castle (turn up the drive from the A472 opposite the firestation). Carpark coordinates are N51 42.325 W002 54.105. We recommend taking the time to visit the castle if it is open (opening times are not regular sorry!) It is very pretty in an overgrown sort of way with lovely views over Usk town.
For a shorter stoll, park in the Island carpark (also off the A472 but on the other side of the Usk river (N51 42.385 W002 54.522).
Usk is a beautiful historical country town with lots of pubs and nice places to eat. We recommend taking the time to visit and you could do a nice circular walk from Usk castle through the woods to the cache, over the river and back through the town to your car.
The cache is a standard tupperware which originally contained:
Calculator, kiwi, sewing kit, NZ coins, pen, badges, keyrings, balls and other assorted goodies.
This cache was placed jointly by the Foxes and their New Zealand cousins, Sgkahu, to commemerate their visit in September 2003. It is also the starting point for the Travel Bug Homing Kiwi's journey across the globe.
