Geocache Description:

A nice walk along good paths or roads next to 2 reservoirs. Parking is available at NT211675 (at the end of the single track road) or NT212680. The LRT No 10 bus goes past the bottom of Bonaly Road. It will take about 20-30 minutes to walk to the cache from the parking. Cache is under some trees so signals may not be so good.

Cache is a fairly large tupperware container wrapped in a black plastic bag. Please ensure the container is re-covered well. This is a popular area for walkers, bikers and fishermen so be discrete. There are some nettles around, but they are not too difficult to avoid.

The walk to the cache past the lower reservoir has lots of brambles (blackberries) so take a container if you want to collect some when they are in season (September). There are also some bilberries. If you walk directly up the hill from the first parking spot, and turn right at the top of the wood, there are lots of fungi. In the spring there are lots of Gorse, bluebell, hawthorn, rowan, and wild rose flowers at various times. The perfume from the blossom can be quite noticeable.
