This night-cache is a little different--a multi! Instead
of the usual path of reflectors that barely requires a GPSr, each
reflector is near one of the coordinates listed below.
Simply go to the coordinates, shine your light all around until you
spot a reflector, and substitute the number that's on it for the
letter in the final coordinates below.
(If you'd prefer a more straight-forward night cache see
Glow-cache.)
Go to the final coordinates, which are about 20' from the final
cache, then again highlight the reflector to find the
container.
Start at the parking found at 41 13.585' 73 6.868', there
is no signage restricting hours, but I'd recommend leaving a note
on your car for the inquisitive.
Coordinate list:
- A: 41 13.570' 73 06.880'
- B: 41 13.594' 73 06.923'
- C: 41 13.574' 73 06.908'
- D: 41 13.531' 73 06.967'
- E: 41 13.559' 73 06.996'
- F: 41 13.590' 73 06.950'
The final cache is within ~20' of: 41 13.ABC 73 06.DEF
It's reflector is different and much lower than all the others
(maybe knee height). Please be sure to secure the cache in it's
hiding spot very snuggly--thanks!
(The container is 4" round by over twice that tall w/wide neck.
It started with oodles of small stuff, many glow-in-the-dark items,
candles, bungees, small yo-yo, top, glow-stick, cards, refreezable
pack, and assorted other things.)
You don't have to cross any water, mud, prickers or poison ivy
unless you want to--then wear appropriate footwear! This cache is
winter, dog, and kid friendly (bikes aren't restricted but
ill-advised).
PS: When collecting another couple sets of coords to average in,
spotted a deer approaching. I crouched, it circle me about 50'
away. When it got to the other side it turned around and came back
around, again staying 50' away. Then it turned again, this time
w/fawn in tow! I watched 'em move off slowly before moving
again...
