Maskun ensimmäinen geokätkö on piilotettu Nunnanlähteen
muistomerkin lähelle Lankilan kylään. Sinne pääsee kääntymällä
itään valtatie 8:lta Maskun kirkonkylän kohdalta. Paikka on
Pakaisille johtavan tien pohjoispuolella, tienviitassa lukee
Killinvahantie.
Nunnanlähde lienee saanut nimensä Nunnanpolusta, jota
pyhiinvaeltajat käyttivät keskiajalla kulkiessaan Turusta
Nousiaisiin Pyhän Henrikin ensimmäiselle hautapaikalle.
Kätköpaikka on muistomerkiltä kaakkoon, tien vieressä samalla
puolella tietä kuin muistomerkki. Kätkö on pienehkö pyöreä
muovirasia.
This is the first geocache in Masku. It is hidden near the memorial
of Nunnanlähde ("Fountain of the Nun" in English) in the village of
Lankila. The place can be approached from Masku centrum, east of
highway 8 towards Pakainen.
The memorial is on the northern side of road. Follow the signpost
"Killinvahantie".The name of the place refers probably to
Nunnanpolku ("Path of the Nun"). This path was the medieval route
from Turku to Nousiainen, used by the pilgrims to go to the first
grave of bishop Henrik.
You can find the cache south-east from the memorial stone, the same
side of road. The cache is quite a little round plastic box.
