This cache is located in a beautiful landscape in the valley of the Yonne river: gently rolling hills with pastures surrounded by hedgerows, dotted with Charolais cattle, patches of forest, and small villages where time has stood still. An ideal place for walking off the beaten path. Be prepared for bumpy paths and prickly vegetation, so bring your hiking boots or other sturdy shoes and long trousers.
First, go to N 47° 19.199 E 003° 35.872. If you are by car, you can park it somewhere around here alongside the road. At this point, you will find three traffic signs. The first one reads "C 2" on top and "Z Placename" below. The third sign reads ".Y t" on top and ".V.U m" below. Calculate X = Y + Z and W = Y - Z. The cache location is N 47° 19.UVW E 003° 35.XYV. The walk to the cache is not long, and could serve as the first leg of a longer walk by continuing on the same track and turning right when coming to the road, it will lead you back to the starting point. Don't forget to look around you while walking towards the cache: the view gets better with every step!
