Best view of Lake Zumbro by a damsite! Will need to approach via
water, either above or below the dam. If above, try mooring your
craft near N44 12.755, W092 28.658. There is no direct, land based
access without trespassing. The cache container is a padlocked ammo
box, combination is 24-38-16
Steep, rocky, short trail, with some poison ivy. Trail at lake
shore has recently been cleared, for easy access. Cache is located
within 4 feet of trail, no need to bushwack! You may be able to
canoe/tube/raft across, below the dam (Macs Park Place). Do this
only when there are low river flows. If lake level is above 915.1,
then DON'T GO!!!

The portage trail from below the dam has been cleared, as well. You
may wish to follow the lower path down to the dam face. You can
launch your craft at a number of places on Lake Zumbro, including a
public DNR ramp (near Ponderosa/Grandpa Eds) directly across from
the cache site, near N44° 12.674' W92° 28.943' This cache is rated
5 due to the rule that states a boat is required for access.
However, it is definitely worth the trip, if only for the view!
Cache is an ammo can.
