Throughout history, battles have been fought over what is perceived
to be right and wrong. This location is the site of one of them.
The above coordinates will bring you to the door of the Welcome
Center.
While little remains from the
actual incident, the peaceful surroundings still hold hidden clues
that will help you to determine what actually occurred here. You
will find there are memorials and remnants which are significant to
Texas history, and American history. This area is open to the
public, there are no visitor’s fees and there is plenty of parking.
However, Saturday is a day of observation so please be respectful.
Good luck! Your first major challenge will be to get to the
location itself. Once you arrive, please look for the answers to
the following challenge questions: 1. What is the name of the
person buried at N31 35.600, W96 59.345 ? 2. What secondary
incident is the reason for the memorial at N31 35.731, W96 59.277 ?
3. Find the marker located at N31 35.723, W96 59.282. Of all the
people who perished on the date indicated on the marker, which two
names are written in ALL CAPS? To get credit for this cache, please
email me your answers. I will email you some links with more
details of the events that took place here. Please do not post
spoiler pictures or hints, even if encrypted. |
