Deceptively devious! In a gallon sized Rubbermaid jar with screw on lid, but it won't be that easy. Since this cache hsn't been hunted in a while, or no one is logging DNF's if they have, I thought I'd change the hint ever so slightly since it may have made people think this was a dangerous spot. It's not, bring the kids! I just made it a bit difficult to see that's all, no digging was done in the placement of this cache. It is well stocked with some neat trade items.
TriggeredTigger placed this cache in it's spot while we watched and laughed at how hard it would be to find. On White Pond in Carmel, NY. Parking can be found near N41 29.933 W73 43.767. Bring your fishing pole (and license) if you wish. You can even bring your canoe, kayak, or rowboat and make a paddle cache of this if you like. Pack a picnic and make a nice day of it. The trail starts near the parking area and goes past a fishing dock. When we placed this cache our GPSrs were so very close to the same readings, with an accuracy of 27-28 feet. When we got back on the trail we had a 50' discrepancy between us. The evergreens in the area make for spotty reception, I guess. We did the recon on this cache area in the winter and placed it in the summer, so we know both times of year are good for a hike here. Please, enjoy your stay, and sign our guest book.
