Cache is located near the summit of Monroe Mountain (11,227 feet).
You can reach this cache in a high clearance two-wheel drive vehicle, but I recommend four-wheel drive when there is mud or snow on the ground.
There are two main roads that will lead you to the cache. The first begins on the Monroe side of the mountain near the top of Monroe Canyon. Follow the steep and winding road for about 9-miles to the cache. The other recommended approach begins on the Koosharem side of the mountain. A sign indicating the way to the top of Monroe Mountain is located off of Hwy 62 in downtown Koosharem. This route is about 15-20 miles but is not as steep as the other route. If you are unfamiliar with either town, wander into the nearest drug store or gas station and ask for directions.
The cache container is not large (2" X 8"), it is well built, painted tan, and will easily survive the elements. Please return container to its original location and rehide it as well or better than you found it.
