Geocache Description:

Forest hike up to good views of surrounding mountains.

Elevation begins at about 1500 feet and ends at about 5200 feet. The trail is well maintained and goes up mostly through forest for about 4 and a half miles one way. The last part is a rock scramble that deserves extreme caution. Not appropriate for small children. You will need to climb the rocks to get to the geocache. The cache is a medium sized Rubbermaid container wrapped in a black garbage bag. It is placed between a grove of alpine spruce and a meadow of alpine heather, the side of the rock facing Mt. Rainier.
