Ruuhijärvi is the most rugged ravine lake in Middle Finland. The northern bank of this long and narrow lake is formed by continuous steep rocks.
Ruuhijärvi on Keski-Suomen jylhin rotkojärvi. Pitkän ja kapean järven pohjoisranta muodostuu komeista yhtäjatkoisista kalliojyrkänteistä.
The seeker should be at least 15 yr old, agile and sure footed. If the weather is wet the area should be avoided. Have a friend with you or at least let somebody know where you are going and when you should come back. My first visit to the area ended up with a dislocated joint in my right shoulder - I do not recommend anybody to share that experience.
The cache is among broken stones under a projecting rock. From right direction the cache can be seen at least some five meters distance. And you can stand above the cache about five meters higher (but do not fall down). There will never be very much snow above the cache - but don't go there if there is any snow around.

Etsijän tulisi olla vähintään 15 vuotias, ketterä ja varmaliikkeinen. Märällä kelillä alueelle ei pidä mennä. Ota etsintäreissulle kaveri mukaan tai kerro ainakin jollekulle, minne olet menossa ja milloin aiot tulla takaisin. Ensimmäisellä käyntikerrallani tällä alueella oikea olkapääni meni sijoiltaan jalkani lipsahdettua rinteessä - en suosittele kokeilemaan.
Kätkö on rikkoutuneiden kivien seassa kallion muodostaman lipan alla. Sopivasta suunnasta kätkön näkee ainakin viiden metrin etäisyydeltä. Ja voit myös seistä kätkön päällä viitisen metriä sen yläpuolella (mutta varo putoamasta). Kätkön päälle ei juurikaan lunta satane, mutta lumiseen aikaan sinne ei kyllä pidä mennäkkään.
