Eines der schönsten Ausflugsziele in der Nähe von Bad Freienwalde
ist der mitten im Wald gelegene Baa-See, der durch die
Eiszeit entstanden ist. Unter den vielen Baumarten um den See herum
befindet sich eine Douglasie, die mit fast 50 m der höchste Baum in
ganz Brandenburg ist. Am Rande des Sees gibt es eine Waldschänke,
vor der man auf Holzbänken und Baumstämmen sitzen und Rustikales
vom Grill, Soljanka im Brotkorb oder selbstgebackenen Kuchen
(absolut lecker!) essen kann. Innerhalb der Hütte hängen über 100
Schlipse von der Decke, die der Wirt alle mit dem Beil erobert hat.
Auch weiß er recht anschaulich die Sage vom Baa-See und seinem
Wassernix zu erzählen, der als Geist eines getöteten Raubritters
immer noch dort herumspuken soll. Die Waldschänke ist allerdings
nur mittwochs – sonntags von 12 – 18 Uhr geöffnet. Zusätzlich gibt
es gleich daneben einen Picknickplatz mit ausreichend
Sitzgelegenheiten.
Oben sind die Koordinaten des Parkplatzes vor der Waldschänke
angegeben. Um die Koordinaten des Caches zu erhalten, müsst ihr
euch auf den ca. 1 km langen Lehrpfad begeben, der hinter der
Waldschänke beginnt, und folgende Fragen beantworten:

Der Cache ist eine Tupperbox und befindet sich einige Meter
oberhalb eines überwachsenen Weges am Fuße einer dicken Buche.
Wegen des teilweise schlechten Empfangs empfehlen wir die Mitnahme
des Spoilerfotos.

One
of the most beautiful destinations near Bad Freienwalde is the
Baa-See (Baa Lake) in the middle of a forest that arised
during the ice age. Among all the different trees around the lake
there’s a douglas fir with nearly 50 m height which is the highest
tree in the whole of Brandenburg. Right at the lake there is a
forest tavern and in front of it you can sit on wooden benches and
logs and eat rustic food of the grill, soljanka in a bread basket
or homemade cake (absolutely delicious!). Inside the cottage there
are over 100 ties hanging from the ceiling which the landlord has
conquered with an ax. He also knows to tell very colorful the myth
about the Baa-See and the nymph who shall still haunt around as a
ghost of a robber-knight. The forest tavern is only opened from
wednesday until sunday from 12 – 6 p.m. Additional there is a
picnic place with enough seats right at the side of it.
Above you find the coordinates of the parking place in front of the
forest tavern. To get the coordinates of the cache you have to walk
along the 1 km long nature trail (Lehrpfad) which starts behind the
forest tavern and answer the following questions:

The cache is a tupperware box and hidden a few meters above an
overgrown path at the foot of a big beech tree. Due to a bad
reception at many times we recommend to take the spoiler photo with
you.
