Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to artist Alvar Gullichsen and his ingenious idea of Bonk Business Inc.

This is so far my most urban cache. Actually, it's a multi cache in the very heart of the city of Tampere. Couple of first finders will be rewarded with original Bonk items they can find from the cache. Those items are ATM pins. ATM refers originally to Asynchronous Transfer Mode but in Bonk Business it means Atomic Telemotion. Telecom 95 Fair had more wall-size, hi-def screens, personal videophones, multimedia blah blah blahs, video on demand up the yangola, and especially Asynchronous Transfer Mode things everywhere you looked. You could get by in six languages by merely saying "multimedia," and "ATM." But the most amazing ATM device in the vast convention center was at a modest corner of the Finland booth.

The Atomic Telemotion Machine itself is a work of art. The perfect fifties high-tech look of white enamel, gleaming metal coils, knobs and gauges, streamlined fenders, caught anyones eye amidst the visual cacophony.

"ATM is the latest scientific breakthrough by Bonk Industries and will revolutionize world communications. Atomic Telemotion has been developed in co-operation with Telecom Finland, one of the leaders in the field of novel communication technologies."

"ATM is a home system for communicating feelings along specially laid plasma tubes. More than 150,000 homes are already connected...So whenever you are feeling good, you can now share those feelings with family and friends - wherever they are!"

"Even the BAD can be GOOD!
Yes, even negative feelings can be utilized in your own ATM!" The fusion engine detects and removes any bad feelings from the transmission, converting them into briquettes called CANNED HATE, which can be used on your Bar-B-Que."

And now, back to real life:

1. Get in through the first pub gate, but don't go to the pub yet. Find out on what year Bonk was here, on what year the Universal was built and on what year it sank to the bottom of nearby Lake Pyhäjärvi? The text is in finnish, but anyone should be able to pick up those three dates. And if you can read finnish, read the whole text, it's worth it!

2. Drink your beer or cider and get out the same way you came in. Turn left and walk some 20-30 metres. 24 th of May, but what year ?

3. Now, count the next coordinates. They are N61°29.x E023°45.y where
x = year in point two - 1159
y = sum of years in first point - 5198

The coordinates will guide you to the next point.

4. Väinö will tell you where to go next. If you can't read finnish, this may be the trickiest part of this multi cache. In that case, check the encrypted note at logs below.

5. How many tall red brickpipes you see ? Walk around a little, all of those pipes cannot be seen from every point of this place.

4. Count the final coordinates. They are N61°29.x E023°45.y where
x = number of tall pipes multiplied with year from point two - 7070
y = number of tall pipes multiplied with year from point two - 6964

5. Congratulations, if you found it! Now you can get back to point 1 and enjoy another beer or what ever you want...

Please be careful not to reveal this cache to non-geocachers!
