Ok, I thought to myself, why not introduce something new this year.
And well, I said, why not a series of caches filled with
clowns..... yes, I said clowns. Many of them are of the collectable
variety as well.
And I wouldn't be true to myself, and to those who visit Doc's
caches, if these still didn't introduce the cachers to some of NB's
treasures.
This cache is located near Gordon and Gibson Falls. Basically
get to Elgin and continue south a couple of km's. You'll come to a
cement bridge. Cross it and turn around and park on the side of the
road which has a cottage and a dirt road following the river
downstream. Take this road to the cache.
You can't see Gordon Falls are past Gibson Falls (around the
corner and hard to get to). Gibson Falls are heard below the cache
spot (a set of double falls that are spectacular). The gorge below
looks like a cool spot to white water kayak.
The cache is filled with clowns. If you happen to have a "clown
like thing" to trade for one then great. If not try your best.
Enjoy.
NOTE: Red Witch mentions a nice swimming hole under Gibson
Falls. Beware, I heard from someone who knows these falls tonight
that 5 kids have drown in the swimming hole between Gibson Falls
and Gordon Falls (out of sight around the corner). The reason is
the undertow under the swimming hole that can pull you down and
over Gordon Falls. I don't recommend the swimming!
