Placed with permission of the Linn County Conservation Board. Obi's Treat Cache is located along the trail in the Rock Island Botanical Preserve. Access hours are sunrise to sunset. The trail allows access WITHOUT BUSHWACKING. Entrance to parking is a dirt road just past Xavier School (possibly marked private road, but IT IS NOT A PRIVATE ROAD). You can see the sign for the preserve from 42nd Street. Take only pictures and "treats", Leave only footprints. Enjoy the birds as you hike!
Obi is our Dachshund go-dog. He loves to go caching with us and wanted his own hidden cache, so here it is! Container is a clear, plastic, hinged box.(Update 10/20/2008 Cache is now a 50 Cal Ammo Can) Original contents include: dog and critter related items, Travel bug OBI Jr., and the usual cache type items. There is a disposable camera (take photos of yourselves and/or geo-dogs (log their names too!). Update Mar. 8th 2020 Cache container is now a M258
