Tortugureo Nactional Park:
I rated this a "3" is because of the travel involved in getting there.
Tortuguero. Is a magnificent place to travel to and with any sense of adventure well worth the effort.
This cache has been lost it was a small plastic camping bottle with a blue lid, and was tied with a nylon cord to a vine at the base of the tree shown in the photograph. The tree is on the north side of the trail and the cache was covered with a small piece of wood. Because of the jungle canopy, GPS obstruction is pretty high. The coordinates will get you with in 40 feet (12 mt) of the cache site. Once you find the trail you don't need to leave it so just look for the "clues" (IE photos).
This is a national park so please pay the entry fee, it's only a couple U.S. dollars, also visit the information centers in town and at the trail head.
Because of it's beautiful location I'm leaving this up as a vitrtual cache. Tortuguero is known for it’s sea turtles, jaguars, howler monkeys, sloth’s, snakes, and more ants and bugs then you can shake a stick at (or was that a walking stick insect, oh well it didn’t bite…to much). Enjoy the beach and park and let us know that you went there.
