If you have a 4-wheel drive, you can get very close to the cache. In a 2-wheel drive high clearance vehicle, you will have a bit of a hike ahead of you on a steep slope. 2-wheel drive car is not recommended.
This cache is placed in a historic mining district. Once you find the cache, take time to drive a little farther up the canyon to see the mill and old mine buildings. There is also a historic plaque dedicated to the area. Please be careful around the area as there are numerous shafts and drifts. These are mostly fenced but watch children and pets. Do not be tempted to explore these old mines. Stay out! Stay alive!
At placement, this cache had a brief history of the area, standard log book and pens, pencils.
