Located at the top of Seneca Rocks is this easy to find cache. It's merely another reward at the top of this fun hike.
This is my first time placing a cache. These directions are from the observation deck so you may take either trail to the top.
From the observation deck, continue on the ascending path. It will curve left up to an old logging trail. About 20 feet off the trail (to the left) from the bend, there is a tree with a hollowed out base, inside, in the left side, is a pencil box with a green lid under some rocks and leaves.
Please take care to replace this cache well as many curious hikers will be going up this way to see down the other side of the mountain.
