The Turtles, Turtle Cache Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have had no contact with the cache owner since my last note and there has been no notes posted to the cache page in that time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

The above co-ordinates are for a junction on the trail that leads to all FIVE caches. The parking location is the same for all FIVE caches, but their hiding spots are some distance apart. The parking location is N43 19.571 W80 23.211.

The first cache you must find is “New name; New Location”, use Waypoint GC6EF2. The second is “T.B.W.C. of 2003”, use Waypoint GCC53B. The third cache you must find is: “Lizards from the Planet Loony”, use Waypoint GCCB38. The fourth cache you must find is: “Bunny Hop”, use Waypoint GCD964.

This is the FIFTH cache hidden in this forest. Under the lids of the other four cache containers are two numbers that will help in the finding of this cache, “The Turtles, Turtle Cache”. ” Give yourself about 1 ½ to 2 hours to find all five cache sites and about a 3.5 km. walk. There are lots of hills, most trails are well marked and wide, but side trails are not marked. It is a great place to cross country ski or snowshoe in the winter. Hike all year round.
Urgent message: While out doing wilderness maneuvers the Travel Bugs from “T.B.W.C. of 2003” came across a nest of 10 small Turtles. They are Turtles from all around the world, some from the land, some from fresh water, some from the sea and others that just like to hang around with bears. So if you see a Turtle on its back make sure it doesn’t have a string tied to it and a bear at the other end of the string. Just kidding, Turtles don’t know how to tie knots.
Here are some web sites to get information on Turtles. http://www.turtles.org/ http://www.turtles.org/marines.htm http://emys.geo.orst.edu/ http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Prairie/1454/ http://museum.gov.ns.ca/mnh/nature/turtles/

Now comes the fun stuff:

New Name; New Location: Number A:___; Number B:____

T.B.W.C. of 2003: Number C:____; Number D:____

Lizards from the Planet Loony: Number E:_____; Number F:______

Bunny Hop: Number G:________; Number H:______

The lesser of A & B = J _____. The other is K_____.

The lesser of C & D = L_____. The other is M_____.

The lesser of E & F = N_____. The other is P______.

The lesser of G & H = Q_____. The other is R______.

There are two missing numbers.

The lesser of the two = S_____. The other one is T_____.

Now for the North co-ordinates:

N J____N ____T ___R __ .___ J ____ S _____ P

N ____ ____ ____ ____ . _____ _____ _____

Now for the West Co-ordinates:

W P____S ____Q ____Q__ . __ R _____ T _____ R

W____ ____ ____ ____ . _____ _____ _____

Now that you have the new co-ordinates go out and give those Turtles a new home. Don’t forget to record the numbers under the lid. The numbers have also been placed on the cover of the log book.
