Multi-cache. A light, scenic walk from village Nagycenk, situated along Road 85 (Gyõr-Sopron) in the north-western part of Hungary. A 3 km long alley of 250 years old little-leaf linden trees leading from a castle to a mausoleum.
The cache is made up of three parts, two of which is virtual and one is a regular tupperware box. The first part of the password is the last digit of the last date on an information table (N 47°36.538 E 16°42.365) in front of the Széchenyi castle. The castle was built in 1750 by count Antal Széchényi. The Széchenyi family were famous of their enlightened and modern thinking in the 18th and 19th century Hungary. A member of this family István Széchenyi is renowned as the greatest Hungarian. He founded the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, built the first permanent bridge over Danube, he began modern horse racing and horse breeding, modern river shipping and flood-prevention works in Hungary (just to mention some of his great deeds). The castle is a baroque building, reconstructed several times. You can find a beautiful park around and a luxurious horse stall beside.
At point N 47°36.643, E 16542.325 approximately 100 m from the castle you see a railway museum with old locomotives and railway carriages. Some of them still work; you can make a 5 km tour with them. A program you should not miss, especially if coming with children!
The famous alley of 250-year-old small-leaved linden trees (Tilia cordata) leads from the main gate of castle to the sepulchral monument of Béla Széchenyi and his beloved wife. It is a light, scenic very pleasant 3 km walk along the alley. The trees look like old men, they are gnarled, hollow, tortuous, however they are full of life: birds, dormice, squirrels find their home among the old branches. Whatever season you arrive you will find a beautiful scene. The cache box is found in a tree-hollow at the given coordinates. In the logbook you will find the second part of password.
The third part can be found at the mausoleum (N 47°37.781 E16°42.840). Count human figures on the relief decorating the tomb, this number is the third part of password.
