Archiving a geocache is meant to be a permanent action. Only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ can unarchive caches. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if the cache meets the current Geocaching Guidelines.
If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.

If you don't have a high clearance vehicle, you will have to hike about 1 1/2 miles, otherwise, plan on hiking about 1/2 mile. There are cliffs near the cache, so it is not suitable for young children or for people who have a fear of heights. You will need a Red Rock Pass, which you can purchase for $5.00 for the day, or for $20.00 for an annual pass. Watch for signs on where to purchase them as you enter the Sedona area.
Legend has it that Robber's used to hide out in this cave from local law enforcement personnel, hence the name.
Once you find the road to the cache, there is a makeshift parking area on the left side. The trail is directly accross the road from this parking area. You can see the trail going up the side of the ridge on the other side of the ravine.
The cache is in a one gallon clear rubbermaid jar. We started it with the usual cache goodies. It is under a big rock with other rocks covering it up.
