A steep walk from any direction is rewarded with stunning views of the Isle of Wight
There are two ways of approaching the cache:
From GODSHILL... Park in the village and walk the main road towards SHANKLIN. After a quarter mile turn right through the gates of GODSHILL PARK and follow the lane to FREEMANTLE GATE at
N 50 37.440 W 001 14.260.
Turn right up the hill and follow the footpath to the junction at N 50 37.317 W 001 14.800. Take the path signed STENBURY DOWN & VENTNOR to the gate at
N 50 36.816 W 001 14.745.
From WROXALL... Park in the village and walk along West Street, past the shop and up the hill. Follow the sharp left bend and then turn right up the even steeper hill opposite the farm gateway. If you survive as far as the top, walk past the radio mast and on to the gate at N 50 36.816 W 001 14.745.
(The faint-hearted could use the car park at N 50 36.441 W 001 14.414 but hey, you are tougher than that!)
