Park in the Pima Canyon trail parking lot at the east end of Magee Road. Follow the trail about 1.6 miles into this beautiful mountain canyon to the area of this regular Ammo can geocache. Please add your own bits to the ongoing story written into the cache logbook. The story will go as far as our geocaching visitors can take it. If you can try to remember what your wrote, please enter it as part of your log on this page. Or take a picture of it and upload that.
We'll post images of our story beginnings and I may transcribe at least the first part into a log later.
This cache was placed by Team Scotti which included all 4 of us, plus one of the daughter-unit's friends, Tracy, so you'll find 5 parts to the initial story in the logbook if you are the first visitor.
After our first revisit to the cache, I have posted images of all of the logs from our very first the day we hid the cache through our visit on 2004 May 22 on the following webpage: Stories Around the Campfire
From what I've heard from all my cache visitors, the fire ring that inspired the name of this cache has been removed, though I did see a photo of a pile of rocks that may have been from the original fire ring.
Jim, Team Scotti.
