will need to find the webcam and get your picture captured by the
camera.
Click refresh to get the latest picture.
What you will need:
- A GPS receiver
- A friend at his/her computer with an internet connection.
- A mobile phone or set time when you will be at the cache
site.
How to find and claim this webcam virtual cache:
- Go to the coordinates of this cache.
- The coordinates get you to the area of the cache. They are not
exact coordinates telling you where to stand. You, with the help of
your friend, need to "hunt" for the cache.
- Call your friend and have them go to this cache page.
- Let them guide you on where to stand for the best picture
then...
- Smile for the camera and wait for an update! (this webcam
updates every few minutes)
- When your friend sees a good webcam picture, have them right
click on the webcam picture and select save. Then send you the
picture so that...
- When you make your Found it! log entry you must include the
picture in the log.
- Found it! logs without proper pictures will
be deleted. Don't log it until you have your picture ready
for upload.
Credits: This cache was inspired by 'Pearl Street Webcam' located
in Boulder, CO. Most of the directions and HTML were stolen from
that cache posting. Thanks to Lone Rangers for a great idea.
Warnings/disclaimers:
- This is a busy intersection. There is no need to stand in the
intersection. You only need to get close to the coordinates in
order to start looking for the camera.
- On a few occasions we have observed that the feed for this
camera is not always the intersection. Check the feed before you
start your hunt.
- The picture should update every 3 minutes, but sometime the
frequency varies.
